two women with a simliar face : analysis

This story is different from the previous story. The previous story told us about the magic and fiction creature that well known as an angel, while the second story told us about the more scientific case especially the medical case. The two women with a simliar face brings  the familiar case that lately happened in our country. People do the plastic surgeon to be prettier than before instantly. This kind of case shows us that the less confindence of the people in our country to be natural infront of the others. It’s not only how’s the people looked from their appearance, but also how’s they behave as well, especially for women.

This short story presents us how’s the competition between a wife with the other girls. If wife can’t give the best services to her husband, their husband will never satisfied and just leave them to the other girls whose better than his wife. That’s become the reason why people do the plastic surgeon in our country. As the cases before, Elda did the same therefore her husband will be loyal for her entirely. Unfortunately, at the end of this story the main character is made confused  with the existence of the two women who have the similiar face as his wife. He doesn’t know which one is the original wife. It shows us the effects of the plastic surgeon besides has the positive effect, it can be used for the negative things : to make our face looked like the other’s face.

ASSESSING SPEAKING

ASSESSING SPEAKING      There are four categories of listening performance assessment tasks. A similar taxonomy emerges for oral production. Imitative      At one end of a continuum of types of speaking performance is the ability to simply parrot back (imitate) a word or phrase or possibly a sentence. While this is a purely phonetic level of oral production, a number of prosodic, lexical, and grammatical properties of language may be included in the criterion performance .      We are interested only in what is traditionally labeled”pronunciation” no inferences are made about the test takers ability to understand or convey meaning or to participate in an interactive conversation. The only role of listening here is in the short-term storage of a prompt, just long enough to allow the speaker to retain the short stretch of language that must be imitated. Intensive      A second type of speaking frequently employed in assessment con...

INVICTUS BY WILLIAM E HANLEY: POEM ANALYSIS

INVICTUS (Victorian Poem, By William Ernest Hanley, Inspirational poem for Mandela) Out of the night covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeoning of chance My head is bloody,             but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the year Find, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charge with punishment the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.
